Three ways to size
1 · Borrow a ring they already wear
The best way. Take a ring they wear on the same finger (or a similar one), and either:
- Bring it to any jeweller and ask for the size — most will do it on the spot, no charge.
- Send us a clear photograph of the ring placed on a printed millimetre ruler, viewed straight down. We’ll measure the inside diameter to within 0.2 mm.
2 · Order a free ring sizer
We’ll post you a set of plastic sizers covering every common Australian size, no charge. They look like a string of small rings on a band — they slide on, give an exact read, and the recipient never has to know.
Request a sizer when you design your ring, or email us at any time.
3 · Just guess (carefully)
If neither of the above is possible, the Australian average for women is size N (54.4 mm) and for men is size U (62.5 mm). Tall, broad-built, or larger-handed: size up one. Petite, small-handed: size down one. We can always resize for free.

Things that affect fit
- Temperature. Fingers swell in heat by up to half a size. The most accurate read is at the end of the day, at a normal indoor temperature.
- Band width. Wider bands (3 mm+) fit tighter than thin ones at the same nominal size. For wide bands we usually size up by a quarter.
- Knuckles. If the knuckle is significantly larger than the base of the finger, we’ll suggest a slightly looser fit to allow the ring to clear comfortably.
